Starfield Optics 1.0x Field Flattener

The Starfield 1.0x Field Flattener enhances the imaging capabilities of refractors by eliminating field curvature in short, optically fast refractors providing a flat image for the camera sensor. When using a DSLR and a refractor between f/5.5 to f/6.5 the field is flattened across the entire sensor. When using small chips like popular 4/3rd's or 1" size sensors refractors up to f/7.5 will not experience any change in focal length Requiring a standard 55mm of back focus, this flattener is perfect for any DSLR imager. No additional extension rings are required. With 38mm of clear aperture remove the chance of vignetting and is well suited for APS-C and smaller sensors. With the optional 48mm adapter a clear aperture of 42mm is provided. A 44mm Clear aperture when the optional 48mm T-Ring adapter is used. Your imaging sessions will benefit with a flat field while maintaining your telescopes focal length.

A standard T-Ring is required. Multi-coated optics housed in a high polish, and hard anodize finished aluminum body to help reduce weight. This all metal constructed accessory will look like jewelry for your telescope. Includes standard M42 T thread for camera connection, and 48mm filter thread to add your favorite light pollution filter.
